Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 1, 2026

TL;DR — Gullak is offline-first. We don't collect personal data, we don't ask for accounts, and we don't talk to any server. Everything you save stays on your device.

1. Who we are

Gullak ("the app", "we", "us") is a personal savings tracker for iOS and Android. This policy explains how the app handles your information.

2. What we collect

Personal information: none.

We do not require you to create an account, sign in, or share an email address to use Gullak.

Data you create inside the app:

All of this is stored locally on your device using Hive (an on-device database) and the system preferences store. None of it is uploaded anywhere.

3. Permissions we request

The app may ask for the following system permissions, and only when needed:

You can revoke either of these from your device's system settings.

4. Analytics, advertising, tracking

None. Gullak does not include analytics SDKs, ad networks, or third-party trackers. We don't know if you've opened the app today.

5. Where your data lives

On your phone. Specifically, in the app's private storage area (Application Documents for the database and SharedPreferences for settings). Other apps cannot access this data on a non-rooted / non-jailbroken device.

6. Deleting your data

You have two options:

For more details, see Delete your data.

7. Children

Gullak is not directed at children under 13. Because we don't collect personal data, we don't knowingly process information about anyone.

8. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes will also be flagged inside the app.
